4th Grade
In fourth grade we will start out by reviewing the Science Lab Rules and Safety. The students will practice working in groups to build and solve challenges. The first Science unit will involve students demonstrating how water changes, and learn the temperatures at which water freezes and boils. Students will create cloud models and demonstrate understanding of how clouds form. They will create a working model of the water cycle and label the different stages. Next, they will focus on weather and identify weather instruments and how to use them. Students will learn about the symbols used on weather maps and practice interpreting and creating them.
